Get really inspired.
Seriously, 30 seconds!Back in the day when I was running the coffee shop I used to always say “Precious seconds, people.

Precious seconds!” ..and they all thought I was crazy.Until they realized that I was brilliant.🙂 When you look at your day in 10 minute segments though, and assign each 10 minute segment a purpose, magical things will start to happen.

And it’s absolutely OK if sometimes those 10 minutes are assigned to things like breaks and snacking.. Use a timer..Using a timer really helps to keep you on track.

makes you actually get started when you’ve made up your mind to hit “start”.
I used to use a chicken-shaped egg timer and I liked that the constant “tick tick tick” in the background kind of subconsciously let my brain know that it was “working time”.In fact, I think there are probably only 2 strings of 100 per tree, plus some patio lights for fun.
I really do love the look of letting the natural beauty of the real trees shine through though.I almost think I could not decorate them at all and I’d still love having them in the house.. All I did this year was put in a few berry picks to match the red berry wreaths I made a few weeks ago, and then I handed Kennedy the bag of red ornaments and said “this is the red tree”.. Nine year olds are the best!
(Look at the socks :)).We thought we would make the fake tree in the dining room a red tree too to match.
